OCTOBER WEEKEND [Friday, Oct 7th]

The 2016/17 programme kicks off with 20 participants.......

To begin to get to know each other, we imagined the room as a map of the world.
People were asked to go to :

1.    Where you live
2.     Where you were born
3.     Somewhere you had a significant learning experience
4.     Somewhere that you hear of in the news

5.     Somewhere with a good news story

We Introduced the Key Concepts of the Programme

Participants then spent some time reflecting on 'My journey here'

And sharing stories ......

Next we begin to understand different perspectives and hear each others views in a 'Moving Debate'

Understanding The Globalisation Web of Connections:
This activity was introduced by a brainstorm of what is the first word that comes to mind when you hear the word Globalisation. Members of the group volunteered to become a sample of the words and stepped into the middle of the floor. Our task was to connect to other words in the circle. We created a web visually demonstrating the interconnectedness of all components of Globalisation.

This exercise used Clay explore 'our journey working together'
Participants were asked to work in science and develop shapes, symbols that represent a way the group would like to work together

Lets Evolve/  Be generous/  Shelter & Protect / Be open/ Have fun/ Respect confidentiality/ Be aware of others/ Learn from each other/ Appreciate/ Allow difference & diversity/  Not make things personal/ Know boundaries .......
